The regular phase of the Apertura 2024 came to an end on Sunday and with it the first six invited to the quarterfinals were defined, as well as the Play-In matches.
Below, we will tell you how the Play-In brackets turned out, as well as the first confirmed matches for the 2024 Apertura Liguilla.
Teams qualified for the Liguilla
1.- Cruz Azul 42 pts
2.- Toluca 35 pts
3.- Tigers 34 pts
4.- Pumas 31 pts
5.- Monterrey 31 pts
6.- Atletico San Luis 30 pts
La Máquina became the team that has earned the most points in the history of a short tournament of 17 rounds and is the favorite to win the Liga MX title. Because it is the super leader, it will have the home-field advantage in the Fiesta Grande of Mexican soccer.
Toluca knocked Tigres out of second place thanks to a thrashing of América, which was combined with the draw of the Felinos on the last matchday.
Pumas secured their direct ticket on Friday night with a controversial victory in Mazatlán, while Monterrey needed the final day to qualify for the quarterfinals.
Atlético San Luis has been the big surprise of the tournament by adding 30 points and directly qualifying for the Liguilla for the first time since 2010.
Confirmed quarter-final matches
(3) Tigers vs. Atletico San Luis (6)
(4) Pumas vs Monterrey (5)

These are the confirmed keys for the quarter-finals and the Play-In of the Apertura 2024
Teams qualified for the Play-In
7.- Tijuana 29 pts
8.- America 28 pts
9.- Chivas 25 pts
10.- Atlas 22 pts
Tijuana had a great tournament in Juan Carlos Osorio's return to Mexico and will have a couple of opportunities to end a streak of 10 tournaments without qualifying for the Liguilla.
For the first time since the Play-In was established in the Liga MX, América is in this phase. Las Águilas had an irregular tournament after their second championship and despite this they arrived with the possibility of directly qualifying for the quarterfinals on the last day of the Apertura 2024.
Chivas lost its way in recent weeks and was condemned to play for its ticket to the Liguilla in a duel that will spark sparks.
Atlas has drawn four of its last five games, but its close game was not enough to keep it from missing out on the new play-off.
Play-In Games
(7) Tijuana vs (8) America
(9) Chivas vs (10) Atlas
The winner of the match between Tijuana and América will qualify as the seventh seed of the Liguilla and will face Toluca in the quarterfinals. The loser will have a second chance to access the final phase of the tournament.
In the other bracket, the winner between Chivas and Atlas will advance to the final game of the Play-In, where they will face the loser of the duel between Xolos and Águilas for the right to be the eighth and last guest to the Liguilla and Cruz Azul's rival.
The loser of the Tapatío Classic will be eliminated.
