Three workers filed a lawsuit in a Houston state court against Pemex for injuries they suffered from a hydrogen sulfide leak at the refinery in Deer Park, Texas.
“Plaintiffs subsequently suffered injuries as a result of the leak,” the lawsuit said.
Sergio Antonio Olvera, Jonathan Martínez and Yoselyn Soto are the employees who were in the area when gases, including hydrogen sulfide, were released.

Bodies of deceased Pemex workers recovered
Two contractors died and 35 people were treated for exposure to deadly hydrogen sulfide gas on the evening of October 10.
Both were in the affected area and were directly hit by the gas, said Victor Rodriguez, director of Pemex.
The bodies of both workers have reportedly been recovered.
Mexico's Energy Secretary Luz Elena Gonzalez ruled out any risk from the leak and said the cause of the leak was under investigation.
Pemex said in a statement that operations had been “proactively halted” at two units of the refinery, in order to mitigate the impact.
